Funding Categories for SRIP Interns

🔹 Institute Funded:

Stipend of ₹10,000 for 8 weeks.
Two interns per department (one from IIT Dhanbad, one from another institute).

🔹 Project Funded:

Funded by IIT Dhanbad faculty.
Stipend up to ₹10,000 for 8 weeks depending on project funds.

🔹 Self-Funded:

Work on faculty-led projects without stipend support.

💡 Note: Interns must cover their own living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria for the SRIP Internship

Selection for the Summer Internship Programme at IIT Dhanbad is highly competitive, with priority given to pre-final year students. Candidates are assessed based on academic performance, research potential, and recommendation letters.

📌 Minimum CGPA Requirements:
✔ CGPA ≥ 7.5 for IITs/IISc
✔ CGPA ≥ 8.0 for NITs/IISERs/NISER/IIEST
✔ CGPA ≥ 8.5 for students from other institutes

📌 Additional Requirements:
✔ No active backlogs or disciplinary actions.
✔ Selection based on CGPA, research proposal, publications, and recommendations.
✔ One intern per faculty in the Institute Funded category.

Internship Guidelines & Facilities

Mid-Term & Final Presentations – Interns present research progress to faculty committees.
Temporary Institute ID – Access to library, sports, medical, and research facilities.
Healthcare Support – Free OPD and medicine at the institute’s health center.

📌 Non-IIT Dhanbad applicants must pay a ₹500 non-refundable application fee via the payment gateway.
