Internship Details

• Position: Speech Recognition Intern
• Company: Sony Research India
• Location: Remote (Work from Home)
• Internship Type: Paid, Full-time

• Timings: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers to design, build and evaluate speech recognition models.
• Work on enhancing model performance in terms of accuracy and robustness.
• Explore frameworks such as OpenAI Whisper, ESPnet, SpeechBrain, Kaldi, and HuggingFace Transformers.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ASR and AI for speech technologies

Who Can Apply

Candidates who are:

• Pursuing or completed a Master’s (Research) or Ph.D. in Machine Learning / Deep Learning / AI.
• Skilled in Python and shell scripting.
• Familiar with deep learning libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and tools like Librosa.
• Strong in signal processing and machine learning fundamentals.

Good to Have

• Experience with CTC, encoder-decoder, and attention-based speech models.
• Familiarity with Indian Language ASR systems and handling noisy audio inputs.
