Summer Internship Program at School of Physical Sciences, NISER

The School of Physical Sciences (SPS) at NISER, Bhubaneswar, is inviting applications for its Summer Internship Program 2025. This program is a great opportunity for students pursuing undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degrees in Physical Sciences to gain hands-on research experience under the guidance of expert faculty members.

This two-month-long internship is designed to enhance academic knowledge and research skills. Interns will work on cutting-edge projects, participate in seminars, visit research facilities, and engage in night sky observation sessions. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Project Completion Certificate, which will strengthen their academic and professional profile.

Internship Details

• Duration: May 22, 2025 – July 21, 2025
• Eligibility:
  • Students enrolled in UG/PG courses with Physical Sciences as a major subject in a recognized university or institution
  • Students who have previously participated in this program at NISER are not eligible
• Stipend: ₹5,000 per month (for selected students who do not receive financial support from any agency)
• Travel Support: Second-class sleeper train fare (to and from NISER) for selected interns
• Accommodation: Hostel accommodation available on a chargeable basis at ₹30 per day, subject to availability
• Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted by faculty members (PIs) based on merit and research interests
